We also have lots of other smaller features that we're working on, so as usual, be sure to read the patch notes with each update for a more detailed at what's being added, including new gameplay features, quality-of-life improvements, balance changes, and more content in the form of new events and substories.

Other modding features will be added later, as we're prioritizing work on the core game over features like mod support that were part of Kickstarter stretch goals, but we've already developed an editor that we've been using internally to create the events and substories you already see in the game, and we'd like to put this tool in your hands to see what you're able to do with it! In May, we'll be rolling out the first form of mod support in the form of an editor for events and substories. For example, an idol who is getting bullied will suffer a mental stamina drain, while an idol who has a good relationship with a senpai who's good at dance will be able to train that skill faster. Idol relationships will have direct impacts on gameplay. Cliques will form based on idols' age and the date that they joined the organization: idols will be more likely to be friends if they're a similar age and joined as part of the same audition group.Ĭonflicts and other random events can trigger as a result of idol relationships. One of the features of the April update will be cliques. Each idol's relationships with other idols will be tracked as part of the idol profile that is being added in the March update. The April update will focus on how idols interact with each other. The March update will also be the first update to include official Linux support! The sharp-eyed among you might have noticed several weeks ago that we silently rolled out a version of the beta to Steam Linux users several weeks ago, and after doing internal testing we're now at the point where we're able to officially support it. Your interactions with each idol will gradually build up a profile of details and information about them. Spending time with an idol could mean anything from banter around the office to going out on a date. The March update focuses on interactions with your idols, giving you more opportunities to spend time with individual idols to improve your relationships with them and learn more about them.

(You'll receive an email with a beta key and instructions for how to download the beta once the update is live.) March This means that if you were part of the $15 student tier (or part of the early-bird tier), you'll be able to play the beta once the update rolls out next week on March 30. With that update, we'll also be expanding the beta program to include everyone who backed the Kickstarter to receive a copy of Idol Manager. The next beta update will release March 30. We're getting ready to roll out the March update next week, but in the meantime, we wanted to give our backers a quick preview of what we're working on and what we have planned for the next few months.
